The Australian Professional Snooker Championship was a professional snooker tournament which was open only for Australian or Australian-based players.

History

The Australian Professional Championship was not held between 1975 and 1984 when the WPBSA offered a subsidy of £1,000 per player to any country holding a national professional championship. This subsidy ended in 1988/1989 after which most national championships were discontinued.[1]

The highest break ever made in the tournament was 130 by Warren King in 1985.[2]
